Not that it matters, but back to PR6

Not that it matters, but it appears that the mastermynde.com website is back to a PageRank of 6. And oddly, many other pages that have been on the site for a long time are now unranked. This highlights that PageRank is not the only thing to concern yourself with when looking for link partners.

hi leif!
i came to your site via linkedin, hoping to find a blog. :)

you probably know by now that google updated its pagerank algorithm around the time of this post. i read somewhere that a whole bunch of blogs received a boosted PR because of the change, but i can't find the article now, and like you kinda alluded to - pagerank probably shouldn't be used as a deciding factor in search marketing decisions.

anyhoo, i digress. do you have any recommendations for usability or web marketing books/resources? i'd like to learn more so i can back up my feelings with facts. :)

hope you're great,

alana

Ah geez, you got me. To be honest with you I haven't slogged my way through any marketing books in a long time. I'm reading Getting Things Done by David Allen right now, which is a productivity book.

Maybe Don't Make Me Think by Steve Krug or Web Analytics Demystified by Eric Peterson... It's been a long time since I looked though those though.

Janet might have some more thoughts.

Hope you're great too!
